There are two different style hitches for my vehicle. Are there any advantages or disadvantages between the round tube and square tube hitches?

However, an often overlooked advantage of the round tube over the square tube receiver hitch is added clearance between exhaust, bumpers, and cross members attached to your frame. This is due to the increased possibilities for bend direction with the round tube where the square tube can only be bent front to rear or top to bottom.
