Can you use weight distribution on trailers with surge brakes?
No. With Surge Trailer Brakes the deceleration difference between the vehicle and the trailer during braking creates a pressure, which activates the surge trailer brakes. With weight distribution, the vehicle and trailer act as one, causing the Surge Brake System not to function properly.
