When you get there, you can park your cares away. TIP: When uncoupling a trailer or fifth wheel, place blocks at the front and rear trailer tires so that it does not roll when released. Catching air on your snowmobile is a great winter thrill, but when towing your toy - stay grounded. TIP: Snowmobiles can slip on your trailer-bed. Always tie it down front and rear. You care about your horses' comfort. TIP: When trailering your horses, brake and accelerate gradually. After turning, give them time to regain balance before returning to normal speed. A vacant launch on a calm day is a welcome sight to any boater! TIP: Keep it calm by ensuring at least your front tires stay dry. Getting stuck in a soft bottom launch is no picnic. Simple pleasures shouldn't be complicated by towing mistakes. TIP: Don't assume what your vehicle can safely tow. Check your owner's manual for the tow capacity and don't exceed it! Bouncing around is fun for the kids in the water but not for your trailer on the road. TIP: Use a sway control device to minimize dangerous side to side movement of your trailer. Dinghy towing gives you travel flexibility at your destination. TIP: Be sure to check that your dinghy vehicle, the one that's being towed, is approved for four-wheel towing. Uphill biking is a great whole body exercise, but don't strain before you train. TIP: Using a hitch mount bike carrier vs. a roof rack makes it easier to get your bike on the road. Your ATV and mud are a good combination, but not so for your towing equipment. TIP: Periodically give your trailer and coupler a good wash down for performance and safety. You work hard, and you need your towing products to do the same. TIP: Regularly inspect your towing components to eliminate unforeseen emergencies. Fifth wheel towing can be very serene! TIP: If bucking & chucking interrupt your serenity, lower the hitch to get more weight in the back of the bed.
